Children Program
We empower children to thrive and succeed through year-round opportunities for learning and enrichment. Pui Tak Center offers after school homework help and Saturday enrichment classes (including Mandarin, English and abacus) for children in Chicago’s Chinatown. JSP Jumpstart, jointly organized with Pui Tak Christian School, continues to be the largest summer program in Chinatown.

After School Tutoring
Learning shouldn’t stop after class hours. Our after school tutoring allows children to receive homework guidance with the help of experienced tutors. High quality and caring tutors will assist the students with their homework. After homework is completed, students will be involved in learning activities and can use Pui Tak Center’s computer center.

Saturday Enrichment Classes
English Class
Students will be placed by their English level. Teachers are native speakers who will use a variety of learning activities that will make language learning fun.

Mandarin Class
Students will be placed according to their Chinese level. Teachers will use a curriculum that is standard in many Chinese language programs around the world. Students will learn through games, songs, poems, and stories.

Abacus Class
Abacus is a simple, yet powerful method of teaching computation skills. Initially, students learn to manipulate the beads of the abacus to perform math calculations. Students also learn to visualize the abacus, and are able to perform math calculations mentally without the physical presences of an abacus. It is a whole brain development program that teaches math fundamentals while improving focus, concentration and confidence.

Jumpstart - July Summer Program (JSP)
Learning shouldn’t stop in the summer. Our Jumpstart program is a holistic summer program that not only reviews and prepares students in math, reading and writing, but also allows students to engage in art projects, Bible fun and game activities.
